Guðrún Sigurðardóttir graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts with a BA degree in art in 2018 and an MA degree from the same school in 2020. Before that, Guðrún was a nurse and before she started studying art, she worked at Landspítalan in the field of oncology.

Three-dimensional works and installations have been the main theme in Guðrún’s work. Forms made with crochet and textiles, constructed from concrete, organic with an abstract connection to the human body and other natural phenomena.
